Sen Se, Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Professional Fellowship
This Life Cambodia’s Deputy Director, Sen Se, has just returned from the United States of America after participating in the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI), U.S. President Barack Obama’s signature program to strengthen leadership development and networking in Southeast Asia.
Through a variety of programs and engagements, including U.S. educational and cultural exchanges, regional exchanges, and seed funding, YSEALI seeks to build the leadership capabilities of outstanding youth in the region, strengthen ties between the United States and Southeast Asia, and nurture an ASEAN community. YSEALI focuses on critical topics identified by youth in the region: civic engagement, environment and natural resources management, and entrepreneurship and economic development.
This Life Cambodia congratulates Se as one of only three young leaders in Cambodia chosen to participate in the 5-week Professional Fellowship based in Montana, U.S. In addition to working within a large funding organisation, United Way of Missoula County, Se also had the opportunity to meet and have an audience with U.S. President Barack Obama at The White House.
We warmly welcome Se back to Siem Reap (we have missed you!), with an eagerness to share Se’s insights via these blog posts:
