Wetherby Preparatory School Raises an Amazing £2,810 for TLC

Since a visit to This Life Cambodia’s office by four fantastic Wetherby Prep teachers (Miss Campbell, Miss Hodgson, Miss Heydon, and Miss De Wolf) in August 2012, students have been involved in a number of events to fundraise for TLC. Together these fundraising events have raised an amazing £2,810 pounds, which will go towards the TLC Lower Secondary School Development Program.

TLC would like to extend a massive thankyou to the awesome students of Wetherby Prep, who have put in a lot of time and effort to make their fundraising events so successful. TLC is very lucky to have supporters like you! We are extremely grateful for all of your hard work.

The school has held a number of events to raise money for TLC, the most recent being a Halloween event that raised an enormous £650. This event involved a number of fun activities, including; Halloween fancy dress costumes for the kids, a scary pumpkin carving competition, and a sweet eating competition.

In addition to this, the school has raised £160 from Christmas cards which the boys made, and let’s not forget the original £2000, which was raised through the schools ‘Business Enterprise’ club. This year’s Business Enterprise have named themselves ‘Pupil Fundraising Association – Project Cambodia’. Their current target is to raise a huge £10,000 by the end of the academic year.
